There are many stores of dry cleaners available near everyone’s houses where you can drop all your soiled clothes to be cleaned. Now at every place, the laundry services are available but the machines are located only at the main dry-cleaning centre so that it would cost-efficient. Having machines at all the stores need more money and space too. There are several steps involved and they are stated below.
Tagging of clothes
Every cloth which comes to the laundry is tagged with a unique number, even if the cloth as small as a kerchief or as big as a wedding gown. This tagging helps them to differentiate clothes and make sure all the clothes don’t mix up during delivery. Tagging helps in the billing process also.
Inspection of clothing
Before the process of cleaning, the clothing which is dropped at dry clean ships is properly inspected so that to know if any existing holes are there in the dress and any rips are present or not and if any value is left in the pant pockets or any prints on the dresses if already destroyed. These all should be checked so that the customer spent. Return the laundry people for these things.
Stain Pre-treatment
While inspecting itself if any stains are it is checked and if stains are there the customer can be asked about how the stain is being caused. That information helps in easier removal of stain the trying to remove to without knowing how it caused. every again is different from the other and for every stain different type of solvents are used. The single solvent doesn’t work for all the stains.
Machine Dry Cleaning
Now all the clothes which are given by customers are thrown in the machine and now all the clothes are set to be washed with the solvent and it doesn’t contain water like in regularly washing.
Post Spotting
After the process, of cleaning most of the oil-based stains will be removed, but few stains other than that of colouretcwon’t be removed and then they will be again treated in other ways tried. Small remained stains are generally removed by steaming and sometimes water also used.
Finishing
Now after cleaning and making clothes stain and dirt free finishing should be done using steaming or pressing and if any buttons are detached they should be attached again and such things are done and now made ready for dispatch to the customers.
